Vortech Pump Motor is Really Hot

I have noticed over the past few months my pump is running hotter than ever is that something to worry about.I just sent back my other pump cause it keeps falling off and makes noise.Anything I should worry about I clean the wet side usually once a month in a weak vinegar soultion .Is there anything else I should be doing or is there a Issue I am not aware of.I am just consired about a fire.These pumps were installed in late July 07.

My pump ran hot for a couple weeks and cooled off again. Not sure what I did to get it to happen but maybe if you try tuning it off, reseting it on the glass and turning it back on maybe it will run better.

Check to see if the wet or dry side magnet is rubbing on anything, either the wet frame cover, pin spacer, or dry side gasket if the tank is 3/4". This is the most common cause of a hot pump other than a new pump which has not yet broken in.
