Hi Mikigo-

About three months ago we introduced the Gen2 VorTech which features new fully plastic encapsulated magnets that will not rust the way the original ones did. The kit which includes everything you need to upgrade your pumps sells for $9.45 through us directly. Please email service@ecotechmarine.com for information on these parts.

Good luck getting your pumps running 100% without spending a bit of cash. I had the first round of VT's and just spent ~$400 to upgrade the lat 2 pumps to Gen2 wireless driver's, magnet's etc. Apparently some of the early units had differnt wet frames and drive shafts so after spending all that money I still have 2 pumps that do not work. I have spent over a month trying to see if they would replace the non compatable parts, hopefully they will treat you better than I have been treated. :(
Cheers,

I was just looking at their site, but I had seen somewhere that you can purchase the 'wet' portion of the MP40 seperately for $75.00

I do not see it on the site now....wish I remembered where I saw that.

Hi kurtsreef-

You can purchase a spare wet side assembly from vendors such as Marine Depot or Premium Aquatics. These spare wet side assemblies are Gen2 spec.
