vuqchu 25g LEDs SPS Cube

Excellent growth and colors. I'd like to ask two questions concerning your lighting. What is your height above water line and what is the duration of peak lighting?

I will be following along to watch your tank's progress. Thank you for posting.

Thanks! I have the 2 AI Sols about 8-9" off the water surface. Tank is only 18"x18"x18". Peak hours are from 11am - 7pm. Light starts ramping up at 7:30am and ramping down at 7pm.

wow.. amazing growth Vu!! what's the secret!! lol..

are you dosing anything?

Hahaha! No secret Tony. Just making sure everything is stable and my fish are super fat and happy.

Running it exactly the same as the last tank minus the kalkwasser. C-balance two parts and amino. I do try to max out on the nutrients as much as possible. Close to tipping points before the algae takes over. Right now it's about 3-4 frozen cubes a day. Did add more fish recently so also picked up about 10 more scarlett hermits so they can get to work.

Wow!

Thanks Matt for the kind words. Your tank has been inspirational for me. Really digging they way you have it scaped.

A little update...

Bubble Magus dosing pump broke on me so I've been dosing by hand for the past couple weeks until new dosing pump arrived. Have been busier than usual so was extending the water change routine to 2-3 weeks at a time instead of the usual weekly so didn't even notice the dosing bottles still had a lot of liquid left since the last refill. By the time I discovered it, Alk had dropped down to 5-6. Didn't loose any pieces (knock on wood) but can tell they are not as happy. Polyp extension not as much as before and growth has slowed down a bit. Been slowly taking things back up and getting back to the normal maintenance schedule.

Couldn't find the lens cover view box for top down shots so just these pictures for now...
