BIO

Barry Neigut lives in sunny San Diego and has been an aquatic hobbyist and supporter for over a decade.

During this time, he became fascinated with the Tridacnid clams. His love for these beautiful animals prompted him to conduct extensive research to include controlled studies on feeding, environment, lighting and water chemistry.

This all lead to the creation of ClamsDirect.com as a full time venture and over the past 5 ½ years has grown to one of the largest clam retailer on the West Coast and the internet with the caring and shipping of thousands of clams.

In addition, he owns and operates a support forum dedicated to the care and keeping of Tridacnid clams. He has also written an article for an online magazine, provided numerous pictures for other publications and has donated his time, energy and knowledge to various Marine/Reef groups as a guest speaker.

Abstract
