Wandering Yuma

I have a really cool orange Yuma. He detached himself from the rock work and has floated back behind all of my rock work. Disassembling everything is out of the question. Will he find a footing and come back out into the light?? Can they move around? Will I ever see him again? Any advice is appreciated.

Yup

Yup

Sometimes you will hear people call mushrooms the "disc anemone".

They don't so much move themselves around as they detach and ride the current.

Sometimes it's due to being unhappy where placed. Not likely to move back where you had it.

Try grab it and place a small rock on it and it Might attach to the rock and then you can place it again.

Good luck.

It was starting to detach from his rock so I moved him to a spot with less current, and when I woke up this morning it was gone. Can't find it anywhere so I'm assuming that it ended up behind all of my rock work out of view. Do you think he will ever show himself again?

How did the Yuma look prior to detaching itself?

Sometimes when stressed like nems will detach and find a new home or sometimes hide and melt/die.

If all water parameters are in check I'm sure he will make his way back to the front or find his "sweet spot" and stay in one place.

Water params are good. It seemed really healthy and happy. I think it didn't like the current where i placed it. Hopefully I see him again...
