Want advice.... 180g vs. 325g

So I'm in the middle of a decision, I'm starting up a tank and don't know if I should go with a 180g or a 325g? I've ran a 120g for a long time but took it apart awhile ago. now I'm trying to set up another tank and don't know which one I should go with. Equipment wise I have everything that will work for either tank. I've got around 400lbs live rock, big skimmer rated for up to 500g I think, 4 250w halides, 1/3hp chiller, dolphin amp master pump/ and iwaki pumps, and a couple 40g and 75gs that I can use as sump/fuge. I'm going to go closed loop and surges for either tank so I don't need powerheads. any suggestions, pros/cons?? thanks in advance

to me it seems like a no brainer....if you have the room and resources go for the 325, I almost purchased a 180 but got a 240 instead and will never regret it.

the 180g has very nice stand/canopy 1 piece (almost like a china/chinet) and the 325 just has a plain stand, no top. that's mainly the reason why I'm debating. lookwise the 180g looks way better, but the 325, well it's a 325gallon!!

if you have the room, 325 for sure. You can always change the stand

save yourself a step down the road, go with the larger tank now

My opinion, it's only money. Your 325 will cost almost twice what a 180 would. I would go with the largest tank you can afford... Scratch that I would go with the largest tank that will fit. That's what loans are for????

How tall is the 325?

the 325 is 30" tall. well I thought it was a 325g, but found out that it's a 300g.
