Want To Add Hippo

I am considering adding a hippo tang to my 90. I've got ozone running on the tank now to hopefully eliminate the chances of ich. Is ich a still huge possibility even though I've got ozone running or does this take the risk down exponentially?

If you do get a regal, hes going to outgrow your 90. If you do still want one then I highly recomed putting him in hypo for 5-6 weeks miunium to decrease the chances of any diseases.

I agree with andrew, my present has been in my tank now for 6 months. He started out the size of a quarter and was in my qt for 5 weeks and survived ich. I used hyposalinity on him and he learned to eat everything in that tank before going into the main tank. The previous two never lasted when going straight to the main tank.

mine went right into my tank. It was about the size of a nickle maybe a bit bigger. I have had my hippo for 3 months now with no problems.

that depends on your tanks other fish and being allowed to eat, the other two fish were scared and always hiding and would not come out to eat

just feed a little more for a few days. SO the fish know there food is not going to going to another fish. If the hippo is not going to have any problems with any other fish then go get it.

Mine went right into the display. Had a small bout with ich but its cleared now and he is an eating machine. My 2 clowns were unaffected by the ich and are piggies also.
