Want to add some actinic

My current setup is two pfo pendants hanging above my standard 120 gallon tank with 400W radiums. I would like to add some actinic for the dawn/dusk look, but it would have to be something that could hang above the tank. Does anyone have any cost effective suggestions?

I should not that I do not plan of getting rid of my current pendants, the actinic would be in addition.

i had 2 T5 blue plus on the outsides of my MHs and loved the blue tint.
i have all T5s now though
there inexpensive to run as well.
retro kits are cheap.

Two T5 glo setups should work. They don't have on off switches but they are bright as hell...

yes they will be bright if you over drive them, of course you dont have to.
you can run them on a timer as well.
mine run off my RK2 right now.

Granted...they're not overdriven...but, they're at least HO...and even though they don't have individual reflectors...I've found the parabolic shape that houses the two t5's work great at reflecting it back into the tank....

They come ready to hang from the ceiling to (They also have the clip on tank option too)

IMOP i would go with a retro kit, that way you can have 1 on either side of your MHs , they are very easy to put together.

That's true as well...but I've always found the cost of making it aesthetically pleasing can reach and often exceed the price of buying a premade out right. Unless you've got the experience of course....

Edit: I just remembered he said he has pendants....yeah, go with a retro and custom build a hanging canopy...
