Since everyone is running leds, there must be people wanting to sell their Mh's. Let me know what you have...want lumenarc or lumenmax reflectors, electronic ballast preferebly 250w. Please leave number or contact info

Cost 400w halide= 8hrsx460watts÷1000x.04690 (comed) x30 days=5.17 to run a month.

I actually went to MH from LEDs. LEDs have a ways to go. The newer multichips look promising, but are super hot themselves.

I dont care what they do with those junky leds...Nothing will ever replace the intensity, color and growth you get using halides. :bounce3:

yes you save $$$ with led's but instead of needing a chiller running a few hours a day your heater is running all the time, so where is the big savings ? & is it worth it to have dull colors, I can't speak for everyone but I got into this hobby because I luved seeing color popping corals

I have 400W setups with luminarc mini's and coralvue ballasts if your interested.

I've always only had leds. Full spectrum fixtures or bulbs are the way to go for led wise. Still never used mh but I do have a 150watt sunlight supply maristar with 20k mega chrome geissmen bulb and sun supply galaxy ballast.

I like the shimmer you get with halides. :inlove: Does the LED's do that too?

Yea I got gnarly shimmer from my par38's
