want to get rid of all kanya trees in my tank

kanya trees are just popping up where they arent wanted i want them all out i pull them off and cover them with eboxy and they still come back laughing at me. please tips any tips

I too have this same problem. Good luck. I've tried everything. Even took out rocks and chiseled out where they were growing.

If only kenya trees weren't brown. They'd be ideal softies if they came in pink, purple, blue, orange, red, yellow...the easy reefer's dendronephthya!

My Kenya trees have a pink tint to them due to my Fiji Purple lights :fun2:
Have you tried scraping off some of the rock that they were on to remove all tissue?

Its not that hard. turn of your pumps allof them. do a large W/C BUt insted of just siphioning out water scrb the area with a hard tooth brush or nail brush. The siphon out all the floating gunk. You should be able to get 99% if your not tooJerky with your hand in the water.

Worked for me 1 rock it took a double scrub but it did die.

If the rocks they are on are removable, just take the rock out, scrape it off and hit the area with a propane tourch. Worked for me and is very useful for easy to reach aptasia too.

aside from pulling out the rock and acid washing them, theres no hope... in one of my first tanks i had a stalk grow and grow... i thought to myself i should trim that... well i didnt and it went through a power head... i was finding babies for 3 years after i had removed them.... your best bet imo/ime is to remove the rocks with unwanted frags... eith trade them in or sell em... and replace said rock with a piece from the sump..

best thing i can tell you to do is rip them off at the base and throw them in the trash. it will take several months to get rid of all of them, but if you keep at it they will go away. took me a while to do that several years ago when i had my tank covered in them.

Have you tried selling them on Craig's List so you can make some money to buy what you really want? Trade them to LFS?
