I think that yours will be just as nice as Kip's one day. ;) Both beautiful specimens.

Enough jibba-jabba. Here is one of my fav's in my tank. Old pic though.

I noticed depending on lighting it can be yellow to green. Just like yours that you posted.

Here is my Leng Sy cap a few months back. It has grown a ton but lost some color due to a tank redo. I am now starting to get the nodules in the center.

I didn't think the Leng Sy was anything special until I saw it in person. It really is a cool looking coral. I also like the pink polyp cap. Atlantis has two types now.

I've also been dying for a piece of a Monti flabellata. I don't know if anyone has this one as it only comes from Hawaii. I think it is the true blue cap. Anyone have any pics of a blue cap in captivity. I don't think I have ever seen one.

Someone recently sent me a pic of an orange cap with a purple rim. I didn't think it really had the purple rim. I though it was just the lighting that made it look that way. If there really is one out there that would be a really nice cap.

Here's one of my caps. Just a frag, but growing fast.

Kip... Great picture... Nicely blend together with digi and monti cap. Hard to achieve i must admit. :eek1:

that shot is a little dated... the purple cap is definitely taking over now... i have been kinda slack keeping them in a bit of an equilibrium.

Kip that's got to be one of the most stunning growth shots of purple cap and green digitata that I have ever seen. Nice job!

im with you on wanting the m.flabellata my sis is going to hawaii soon and i have been jokingly trying to get here to smuggle me some back!lol the pics of it in the veron books are really nice i can only imagine what it could look like in one of our tanks!if anyone does no of this coral in captivity id love to buy or trade for a frag!

I've always been partial to vibrant caps myself. Both of these are from April and are much larger now.

Some really great pics. Some good natural colors in them, unlike this photo I took, under actinics only, colors are a little blown out...but it looks good. Got Orange, Green & Purple all growing together.
