Wanted Items For My First Reef

Hello Everybody, I am located in the Clearwater area and im in the process of gathering a few items for a reef that i plan on starting within the next couple weeks, I have a 20gallon tall tank, marineland HOB filter, and a dual T5HO fixture(planning on upgrading) and a few other things.

Here is a list of items i am looking for and still need:

refractometer
2 powerheads
24" 4 bulb T5 light fixture or some kind of MH
ro/di unit
maybe a skimmer?

Let me know what you have, thanks. Can't wait to get started, Thanks again.

Thanks, I can't wait lol I've been researching for years and finally want to take the plunge. I've been keeping freshwater aquariums for many years and want something a little more interesting to look at =), don't get me wrong i still love watching my cichlids grow, but i just love the personality of the whole saltwater life.

I'm also going to need some live rock, sand, and maybe some ro/di water if i don't get the filtration unit soon, let me know if you've got any to spare, Thanks =)

alright, ill hit you up after i get everything set up, I've got 2 koralia 240's, a CPR bakpak skimmer, and hopefully some testing equipment on their way. All i need is an ro filtration system and a refractometer. Then ill be ready to start adding sand and liverock. Hopefully ill get everything i need within the next week or so.

Thanks, I can't wait to get started. I think i have all the equipment i need except for an ro/di filtration system but i think ill just try and find some ro/di water locally to start with, just waiting for everything else to come in the mail. After they come in i will go and pick up some aquarium salt, does anyone know what a good brand is and where to get it locally?

Here is a list of what I have so far:

20gallon high tank
2x koralia 240's
marineland 200 powerfilter
cpr bakpak skimmer
175watt mh ( i also have a dual t5 fixture that i might try and add to a custom hood)
refractometer
test kit
heaters

is there anything else that i might need?

haha yes im going to be patient, i have read to many threads about beginners rushing into everything and buying fish and corals within only a few weeks, then having everything die within a couple of days which makes them discouraged and have them quit the hobby altogether. I am not going to let this happen to me =) i am determined to wait as long as it takes so that everything will be healthy and thriving.

Well here it is, been running for about three days now.

I have heard a saying that if you dont know what it is, then get it out. Better to be safe than sorry. Nice job on the setup. Now the cycle begins.
