Wanted Items For My First Reef

Thanks, I can't wait to get started. I think i have all the equipment i need except for an ro/di filtration system but i think ill just try and find some ro/di water locally to start with, just waiting for everything else to come in the mail. After they come in i will go and pick up some aquarium salt, does anyone know what a good brand is and where to get it locally?

Here is a list of what I have so far:

20gallon high tank
2x koralia 240's
marineland 200 powerfilter
cpr bakpak skimmer
175watt mh ( i also have a dual t5 fixture that i might try and add to a custom hood)
refractometer
test kit
heaters

is there anything else that i might need?

Recommend putting a small cylindrical reactor on as a hang on to run GFO/RowaPhos phosphate remover. The reactors (and a small powerhead to run it) really aren't that expensive, and adding the GFO early on can really nip cyano bacteria (red slime algae) in the bud. Usually you can get by changing the GFO every other month, and with a small tank as yours I'm sure that would be the case.

Looking good. Keep us posted.

Well i have a slight problem....... My 20gallon seems to have grown into a 75gallon and now I have 2 175w metal halides......... Only problem is now im a little low on live rock so if anyone has any to spare to help a newbie like me out i would greatly appreciate it =)

well here are some recent pics of my tank..... Im still working on building a canopy to house my lights and next week i will be picking up a sump and overflow system, and im also working on getting some more live rock and maybe some more sand.

Which overflow are you looking at? CPR overflow box or Gl@$$holes, or?
