Hello everyone. My family and I have just recently moved to Colorado Springs at the first of December. I have been stationed in Fort Benning, GA for the last two years and the Army decided that I should move half way across the country to start working on helicopters again. Now for the hobby....In Ga, I had a 75 gallon saltwater tank setup with Live Rock and some fish, nothing fancy but I did have a small colony of yellow polyps that did wonderful. During the last couple of months there, since I knew I was gonna have to break my tank down, I decided to build my own stand and canopy. I will have to say, I have been proud of my work so far. My only problem so far is that I built them in the humidity and warm weather of Georgia and now, being stored in the sub freezing, dry temperatures of a Colorado winter, one of my stand doors has a small crack in it, and the canopy lid has bowed a little. To me, the faults are horrible, but to my wife its an amazing work of art. So my equipment....Lighting: Coralife 496 watt MH/PC/LED combo. Wavemaking: two Maxi-Jet 1200's, one Korelia pump and a wavemaking power strip. Filtration: I have a Magnum 350 Pro with the dual bio wheels, and actually an acrylic sump that I sorta designed, but did build myself. I looked at a bunch of pictures and started cutting. Its great. The center of it functions as my refugium where I had some macro-algae growing. So Im sorry about the HUGE intro, but thats me and my hobby. The only problem now is I have a beautiful tank, stand and canopy, crystal clear water.....and thats it. So now the building of the inside. I should be adding my live rock in the next few days, and then comes the fun part. Anybody got any frags they can part with?
