lol, aight well i appreciate the help, I'm still trying to think of aquascaping, its hard because I know carpets are sand anemones.. I want to have a lot of sand room, and a lot of swimming room.. not like a full reef, maybe just like a rock out in the middle of no where in the ocean with a haddoni and a pair of clowns. kinda get my visualization? lol

my favorite Aquascape is the lagoon, like a horseshoe of rocks only about a foot tall and the anemone in the sand in the center with rocks on three sides

THATS what i was hoping to do.. but my main concern was that i would have a lot of build up of detritus behind the rocks? How i can I put the powerheads to get that, and still benefit the anemone? Also, when I finally get the Haddoni, how do I acclimate him? I know the normal drip acclimation, but with BTA's I usually hold them on a rock till they suck on, what do I do with a carpet? just put on sand? Kinda worried about it blowing all around..

One thing about saddles, they have a tendancy to be rough with their anems(not all, but some). They are a clownfish(the only one recorded) that will not keep a lifelong bond with its anem. They go out searching away from their anem and will sometimes just leave it. I believe this helps push their agressiveness towards anems. They will sometimes go in the mouth and pull out food, pick at it, get all-around rough. This tendancy is not the norm, but is common enough to mention. It can, however, be curbed by getting Aquacultured polymnus. They do get BIG(as big, many times bigger than GSM's), but they are not as rough to pair(although still a pain). Get TB polyms and you will have a lot less aggressive behavior between them.

Since you plan on doing this and don't have anything setup yet, you could always create the baserocks you want and incorporate "legs" onto them which would eliminate that problem all together. There is a great thread on the DIY forum, I believe it's called "The Ultimate DIY Rock". It's cheap to make, takes about 2 months to "kure" ;) , then it would be ready to go into the tank and begin the curing process. I know when I set up my 55 I plan on using about 85% DIY rock. I may even use 100% and just drop some rock off of a friends dock for 2 months. Those of us fortunate enough to live in Florida do have that option. Good luck with your setup and try to remember that most people on this website are very laidback and mild mannered. Most everybody views this as what it is....a hobby, so it may sometimes take a little longer to get the answers you're looking for. If you're patient enough I promise somebody here will be able to help you.
