Wanting to grow Zoas

I've been wanting to get zoa these past few weeks.I've previously had a nice eagle eye zoa rock that had 20+ polyps on it,but as time went on they died out and I only have one solo polyp left.I was wondering for those who have had success growing zoas what exactly is the best way to get growth?

Well there's a reason their dying off and we should figure that out first. So let us in on your tank set up and equipment and parameters of your water.

28 gallon bowfront 4bulb t-5, aquaclear 70 as filtration. The tanks been up for 3 years and has never had problems with anything.

Well lighting should be plenty for the zoas. What's your alk, calcium, ph, nitrite nitrate and ammonia levels at? Also salinity and general temp?

Zoa's are fast growers. As stated before find why the last colony died and fix that and all should be good.

I'd start with your set up and water parameters. Then move to other tank mates.

I'm a huge zoa addict and the best advice I can give is stability. A stable system will give the best growth rates and color. I don't really buy into feeding zoas but do run a "dirty" tank. If your losing polyps I would try to find the reason for this and go from there. Could be any number if reasons why your losing heads but first thing I would look at is your parameters. If those ate all in check then I would look at pests and tank mates.
