Wow... Yea I never trusted USPS... I'm a big fan of FedEx and UPS. More-so the UPS because that's what my families old business used for YEARS and we only had a few minor problems occur, just things like late pick-ups and things like that...
Might be a little more expensive, might be a little cheaper, if you any friends or anything that own a business that deals with UPS... You can usually get damn good rates... I shipped an Aqua C Remora for about 7$ from Ohio to Texas... If you have that friend in a business relationship with UPS, they usually only charge by the SIZE of the box and NOT the WEIGHT.

I hear horror stories all the time from customers who have used UPS and FEDEX and lost packages, just like UPS and FEDEX hear stories about USPS. I know plenty of ebayers who will only use USPS due to too many lost packages with UPS. Unfortunately it can happen no matter who you use. If you used deliverly confirmation and it never was scanned delivered you should be covered.
