My emperor angel is about 5 years old, and usually very healthy. She has grown this "wart" on her chin that has now turned into 3 lumps/tumors/warts on her. She is eating her flakes, large and small pellets but not frozen cubes. In the past she has had this califlower looking thing, that fell out. (about 2 yrs ago??) This is not the same looking thing.

Please, does anyone know what this is??

Thanks Titanfan.... the picture of the other angel looks VERY similar to what my angel has. Her "wart thing" has grown a bit more, and other figer of it has appeared. She is still eating and swimming around, but it not so much the QUEEN of the tank any longer. The other can tell she is under the weather. According to your link, it does not look like much I can do. :(

Lymphocystis is usually brought on by stress. You might want to double check both your water parameters and nutrition. If fish are stressed lymphocystis lesion will flare up, but will often resolve on their own. Have a look at leebca's thread on nutrition at the top of the forum for ideas on what you might try. Also, if a particular fish is beating on your Emperor, you might consider removing it temporarily. When fish are harassed by tank mates, it's huge source of stress.

Thanks, I really really dont think it is nutrition. Trust me, these guys eat better than my family.... ha ha... but I have thought about trying brocolli. At the Baltimore Aquaium, they have bunches of brocolli hooked to the bottom. I will take my water in and have it thourghly tested. The numbers that I am getting seem to be on the mark. oh, hum..... We are getting set for a water change tonight. we do them every 3-4 weeks 1/3 + of water. I am stilling looking into it. But it is good to know that this Lympho.... might resolve on its own. Still watching closely@!
