was my 75 build nows its my 110 tall

still need to organize the wires and that 10g tank will not be on the floor that long....building a corner equipment stand across the room....it will hold a calcium reactor, maybe a bigger fuge, big uv...maybe 57 watt, along with the top off tank and other goodies.... i was thinking of putting a cube tank on top of it but thats too much for me....so will think of something to put on it....but it will be finished nicely so it blends into the room as a piece of furniture.

Looks good! Do you have a picture of your drain plumbing? I would like to get some ideas.

yeah its a few pages back but here it is again....its on the far side...2 1inch holes...if i could do it again i would have done 2 1.5 inch holes so i could drain more into the sump but still have about 800gph though it so i am happy. 1 drain goes into the sump, the other goes into the sump and the fuge....i have a 3/4 ball/union on that so i can run the return at full power still if i need to play in the fuge and do not want water running in to it....if that is not clear let me know. thanks for the question i love them.....oh i am thinking of making the drain to the fuge a spray bar instead of the T......it blocks some light to on one side. and i moved some xiena to the fuge.

thanks one part of it....i removed the air line from it......it makes less noise now

how are ur star polyps so green! lol, mine are coming back on the rock like crazy but they are all brown =/ will they get green? also what kind of skimmer did u have again?

lol maybe its the light.....careful they will take over all of your rock....and its a octopus 200nw skimmer....love it....its was very affordable compared to other skimmers.

lol, i had the same light on my 29, they were bright green, i dont know if they stay brown much longer they're going in my fuge, as the fuge is supposed to get done tomorrow, :D

had a local reef meeting today and saw a tank with this set up...well 3 of them and loved it....the bulbs were the 10k reflux bulbs though and i just added the other ones on there to get a price idea......i have a my current coralife set up that i will sell after i have my new lights...that helps me justify the new lighting cost. here is what i will be getting in January.

i am trying to see what size reflector i should get....for my tank...being 18 wide would the mini be too small or should i go with the reg size one....also was looking at the 2 bulb t5 because do not think i would have room for the 4 bulb set up. hope selling my light i have now will take a nice chunk out of that price above

matt thats the same setup im getting, wasnt sure if you saw my post or not, im getting 2 of the lumen reflectors,,, the 15x15x9 ones, with the icecap ballasts except im going phoenix 14k, =] ill let you know how mine work out if i get before you, im placing the order friday.

just curious guys. I also am doing a CL i am running a mag 36 with 6 I inch return to tanks a 1 1inch intake, i am getting a lot of noise by the mag, sounds like a lot of air, but is not producing air in the tank, should i go with a bigger intake to the mag?

I missed your question sorry i did not get my e-mail notification for some reason....not sure about the mag cl...i doubt i will be much help...never used those pumps sorry..and luke....nice...can't wait to see it!

:) ive been trying to do as much research as possible, ive heard good things, ive seen one bad post on 3reef, that said they arent that well made, and rust out or something,,,,, but i dont know he might just be talking about the reflectors, im getting an actual pendant... so i dont know,,, should work out good..
