Just got back from DC. Visited the National Aquarium and paid admission. It was very sad the aquariums had red algae growing all in them only 1 reef tank. Some very nice marine fish though. The Museum of Natural history had this reef on display and it was free!

Thanks for the info! As I type this, we are on a plane flying to DC for 3 weeks on the East coast. I was planning on visiting as many aquariums, LFS and ball parks!

I appreciate the information!

DC is a lot of fun! Make sure you stop in one of the oyster bars, if you like that sort of thing.

The National Zoo has a nice reef tank as part of their invertebrate exhibit. Admission to the zoo is free, and parking is about $20.

We're heading back east as well. Flying into baltimore. The aquarium on the harbor was awesome last I was there.
