Watanabe Angelfish - Unknown Disease

Hey all! I've had a 4 inch female Watanabe angel for about a week now and today I noticed a small bulge on her right side(mid body), and a smaller bulge behind the right gill slit. Looks like a tumor or something. The scales are raised up in only those two areas. The color of the bumps are a shade lighter than the normal blue coloration of the fish. There's no white tufts or anything like fungus. I know it can't be dropsy either. The fish is eating and very active. Don't know what this could be. My first thought was maybe it's some kind of worm under the scales but not sure. Any thoughts on what this could be? It's tough to take a pic since the fish is always swimming around and hides when I have the camera out.

is it near the lateral line?

I'm not sure. I'll take another look when I get home from work.

Ok, so I netted the fish last night and took a closer look at the scales. It appears brownish as if it was burnt so I figured maybe the fish touched the aquarium heater by accident. I left it alone. I took another look this morning and the scales appear to be flattening and looking better.
