YOU have been ignored!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????

You mean to tell me BP has been drilling for god knows how long in the gulf and they did not have a plan (or should I say numerous strategies) to clean up the oil. BP is considering using a few clean up mechanisms by inventors. To me that is ABSOLUTELY A JOKE. I as I'm sure everybody else is, am getting furious over all this crap.

You mean to tell me that before a big oil company starts drilling in the ocean that do not have to demonstrate numerous ways of cleaning up in the event of a spill. Granted this is a BIG spill but come on!!!

With the risk of off shore drilling you mean to tell me there is not a LONG series of tests they have to go thru to demonstrate they can take care of a spill if one occurs? Why all the red tape? Why isn't there more coverage on EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE GULF? I want to know whats going on and what they are doing about it but at the same time I don't want to see it....

These BP execs should be lined up single file and :uzi:
Along with some folks in WASHINGTON!

BTW I'm looking for a good graphic artist for a T-SHIRT idea I have. :furious:

I couldn't even imagine how those in the upper pan handle feel. ALMOST 3 MONTHS??? Gimme a @#%@#$ break!

Well,

when you think of who regulated them the mineral and management services and all the people who had them in their back pocket does it surprise you that there is no "official plan" to clean up a mess this large. The sad thing is when the well is finally capped and it looks like it mat be in a couple of weeks since they put a long time line on capping it just in case any problems arose you think anyone is going to be following this after it all said and done.

All you have to look at is the Exxon Valdez spill. I saw a documentary on that on planet green channel on bright house 108 and it was just amazing what has not come back as far as species and what is still there after 21 years!!! It is sad to see all of this but if everyone drives a car, and most of us do in the U.S, we all are contributing to this because we "USE" the oil. I just filled up this morning. My car gets between 26 and 28 but still.

As long as there is oil, we will always drill and don't think for one minute that there is going to be a stop to oil drilling in the gulf because there isn't. Too many jobs involved and too much money also. They will drain every drop of oil there is then they will pull out. That is not for many decades to come. Get used to it unfortunately. That's my 2 cents.:furious:

it's all bs we have nasa that shuts down there whole program when something goes wrong and they have a back up plan for everything they do and there in freaking outer space! i can't believe that we can't come up with a better way to fix this problem and it's on our own planet. If we couldn't get down there to fix the problem we shouldn't be drilling there until we have a way to take care of it if something like this were to happen. It just sucks that it always takes something this big before something will happen to fix it. And like you said in a few years time everyone will have forgotten about the whole problem and bp will be back to there old practices. We all better start stocking up on coral because there won't be any left in the wild soon especially after all that dispersant gets circulated around the worlds oceans!
Ok i ranted long enough for now.

EXACTLY!!! I hear ya.

Just wait until we see the harmful long term effects of the chemical dispersants they are using.

I doubt in the rest of my lifetime that I will ever eat anything that is caught in the gulf.

OH no worries there. They did tests and the results are "It's not as toxic as the oil"

I feel sooo much better now.

I'd buy 1.

Put me ont the list for one.

Yeah I'm serious about doing this. I'm going to try and find several graphic artists to see what they come up with. Never done anything like this before but I can see it in my mind and its gonna be awesome!

All proceeds will go to the Sea Bird Sanctuary thing-a-ma-bob that TBRC donates to.

Some friends of mine own a bar on St Pete Beach (Riptides), About a week and a half ago they came up with a shot called the Tony Hayward (CEO of BP). They had shot glasses made with a picture of him and a bird standing on his head taking a dump. They use a blue liquor in the bottom of the glass and top it with Harlem ( a black liquor). The shot is double sized and cost $5 you keep the glass and $2 goes to the suncoast seabird sanctuary. The fist check they took to the bird sanctuary last week was $500.

I think its aggravating that the UK banned these chemicals but British Petroleum aka (UK) is using them over here and they are tested safe?

We can all look at it as 2012 being the end of the world and say wgaf? and get drunk!!!

yea i know thats wrong, but who knows whats coming in 2012....
