Watching parameters with weekly water changes

Changing 80% of water weekly in my 2.6g Pico. Would even the largest acro that could fit inside take out enough nutrients to make me have to dose? I'm assuming that the wc done every Saturday would be more than plenty, I do not want to have to dose a 3G aquarium.
