Water change question

This may be a dumb question but I have two 5 gallon buckets of saltwater that have been sitting in my room for about 2 weeks that I got from my LFS. I am scheduled to do a water change tomorrow morning and was wondering if I can use this water to do so or if it has "gone bad". It is RO/DI water from the LFS with the salt already mixed and it is still clear as it was the day I bought it. I have no problem going back to the store to get more water but if you guys say its safe I wont complain about saving a trip and lugging more buckets.

i would run either some air stones in them overnight or a small pump in each. If you get water that far in advance just use a air pump and air stone in them until you use it.
I Make ro/di water once a month 150 gallons and 50 gallons of salt water . just run my circulation pumps on timers to mix it once a day .

can i ask what the air stone does. i am assuming saltwater without and air pump and r/o water without an air pump will low ph as they sit

Well of course use a air pump with the air stones Silly.....

I just thought that was a given.. the ph will remain stable to the ph in the room the water is in..

No I was asking what the Airpump does or powerhead. Like if I let the water sit without it. What harm can happen to it. That was my wyesyion

so what harm will it do if you dont do it. when you by the nurt seawater its closed and sits for months just a question. i heard to circulate it too. was wondering if it did any good or just one of those things everyone just does

yes it keeps bio film from forming on top the water for one.
NOW If you store it in air tight jugs with lids on them it would have a even longer shelf life.
