Water change

Just did a first time water change with condy nems in the tank. I dumped my new salt water into the display tank. The salinity was the same as the tank but the temp was different. I now have a nem that looked completely dried up. Do you think it will survive or should I toss it?

How do you do your water changes? Where do you put the new water at?

Always correct for temperature. Especially if the new water is colder.

You probably just shocked the anemone really bad with the sudden temp change. Without a pic, I'd guess that the anemone will recover. If it was healthy to begin with.

Pre mix the batch and run a power head in the batch for 12 to 24 hours before use. Then you want to add to main tank slowly. I use a power head with a flow control valve to control amount im adding.

It did reciover so I'm good there. I also had the water mixed for 2 or 3 days. The salinity was the same so it was most likely colder than the DT water. Luckily everything was ok. Did not even think about the temp difference when I did it. Lesson learned. I will have to set up a small pump with a control valve for the change.

Thanks for the help
