It is bad to do 50% of water changes weekly? i have a 20 gallon long so i dont mind doing it. Just want to know if it's bad or good.
 
That's a little excessive IMO. If your parameters check out there's really no need to change that much. You might want to start with 3 gallons a week and go from there.

LOL! Bad? Not at all to the tank, but bad for the wallet. Unless you are having problems, a routine water change of 10% or 2 gallons a week should be plenty. Anything more is a waste, IMO. Even if it's small, it's still like throwing your pennies down the drain.
 
I would worry about the difference in water chemistry being a shock to your livestock. It's nearly impossible to match the chemistry of the new water with the old and making a 50% water change will accentuate that difference.
