Water feels cold but temperature reads 80+

Does anyone have any experience using high quality food grade thermometer vs a lab grade thermometer? just curious

I use a food grade thermometer with digital read out from Accutemp. One of the best investments I have made. My tank is at 73-74 degrees and it feels chilly when I have to get into my tank to do maint

I have a checktemp1 from Hanna to measure my temp... way off on the name Lol
