Water Hardness

I'm struggling to keep the water hardness above 8 and each time I get it there it appears to deplete back to 7. I'm currently dosing 15 ml but somehow isn't enough to keep it stable. The tank is 145 litres

By "hardness" do you mean carbonate alkalinity? If you are testing general hardness (GH) you need to switch to a KH test kit. Carbonate is constantly being depleted by hard coral growth (that's good) but needs to be constantly replenished. 15mL doesn't tell us anything since alkalinity supplements come in different concentrations.

What product are you dosing?

Sorry, it's KH hardness. I check with Red Sea test kit and dose with Red Sea.

Assuming 100 L of actual water volume, a dose 15 ml per day is fairly small. I have had soft coral tanks consume more than twice that due to coralline growth. I suspect the tank just needs more supplement. Are there any signs of white or tannish precipitation on walls, heaters, or other parts of the tank?
