Water Level 9015

I am picking up a 9015 this weekend and then will install it into my DIY sump. The water level in the first chamber of the sump is 12". This is where I plan to place the unit. Is the water level to high for the skimmer to operate? Do I need to reduce the water level?

The maximum height is 11". If you ste it up in in tank mode you could hang it from the edge to keep it at the right depth.

Thanks, I may cut slots in the baffle to get the water level down to 11"
