I'm looking at adding some type of media filter to my setup to polish the water a bit, my current setup is as follows:
12g Nano Display tank
16g Sump/Refugium with a protien skimmer
What I want to do is just add a simple media filter, I was using carbon and floss pads in the overflow intake of the sump but when they get dirty and I remove them I end with most of the filtered media being disturbed and going back into the tank :mad2:
So now I'm thinking that some type of external filter would work the best because when it's dirty I can just disconnect, replace the filter and plug it back in.
Any ideas on a simple external filter, I don't need bio-balls or anything complicated, I just want to catch some of the junk circling the tank
Thanks
