Water Quality

I was wondering what everyone's ppm is after the RO before it goes through the DI. I just put brand new filters in all the stages and I'm reading 30 ppm before it hits the DI. Is this normal. I was expecting it to be single digits but maybe I have the wrong idea.

Did you flush the filters before changing your membrane? Did you replace the flow restricter? What's your tds of water coming in?

Mine is the same 250-300 incoming. My output after RO and before DI is around 10-12. What area are in you? Saint Louis uses chloramine instead of chlorine to treat the water supply this is important because you need chloramine carbon blocks to address this. Otherwise standard carbon blocks exhaust extremely fast and then become extremely harsh on your RO membrane. This will cause premature deterioration of the RO membrane. This can lead to higher tds output even after changing filters.
