Water Storage containers

Browsing my usual sale web sites I check on once a day and found these water containers that I think would work well for people looking for water storage or mixing stations....

It looks like you could modify the garden hose bib on the bottom to whatever connection you want.

All Woot items ship for $5 and I have had good experiences ordering from them before, they just dont have the fastest shipping ever.

Id get one for rain water collection too but...you know...we live in AZ.

Tank n Barrel is in the east valley & you can look on their web site. They have a big selection & will deliver large totes for a fee.

Im not really in the market for this right now, just saw a good deal and know people sometimes ask where to get large containers from. Not sure how T n B compares on 50gal totes but if that is a local option then all the better.

This is what I use to collect my filter run off water. From there, I have it going out to the garden. It works like a charm.

It was a drive, but I got my 55 gallon barrels from T&B for $25. I had to drill and add the bulkhead. I think the flat side would be a nice benefit for space saving; I would worry a little about the brass spigot unless you changed that out.

I'm planning to pick up a couple containers from tanknbarrel in the next week or two, any problems or advice from those of you currently using water storage containers from them?

No problem with the 275 gal tote but the valve should be replaced. The threads are metric & Phil can sell you an adapter to standard thread.

I dont own them but FYI, they also have a tempe location now.
Thanks for the heads-up, looks to be just north of Tempe Town lake off Scottsdale rd.

Did you do anything special to "prepare" the storage tank for use, Bob? I assume Phil is the go-to guy @ tanknbarrel? Thanks

Yes I dealt with Phil at Tanknbarrel. Make sure you ask for food grade & for $10.00 he will power wash the inside. I still recommend ditching the valve & buying the adapter from him. I ended up capping the drain off & pumping water out of the fill hole on top. I purchased 4 from him.
