Water tank to mix 600-750g saltwater?

I saw a 300g Rubbermaid stock tank I could fill and mix salt but that would take a good week to accomplish. Anyone have a link to a bigger stock tank to fill 500-700ish gallons of RO/DI water? One easy enough to mix salt in as well.

thanks!

Tank being made is 600g + sump, so should be around 730ish gallons total.

I just wanted to mix up enough water in one run. Not needed but would be nice. I don't want to spend a fortune on water mixing tank though. So I probably have to go the smaller route.

thx for link

There is a local company on Craigslist every few days or so that advertises water barrels from 30 gallons to pallet size.

I'd just plan on using 100-300. Once your tank is up and running you won't need all that water. I filled 450+ total gallons with a 45 RO tank and a 55 for mixing salt. It took a few days but gave me time to move and place rock before the tank was completly full.

I am getting ready to fill my 300 Gallon. I decided to fill it with RODI water first, let that water fun a few days, then test for phosphates. If phosphates look good, then I am going to just add salt directly to the tank. If my rocks are leaching to much phosphate, I will probably drain it and start over or drip Lanthanum Chloride into the filter socks, till it is cleared up, then add salt.

You can't accurately measure PO4 in 0 TDS RODI with a hobbyst test kit (or a Hanna for that matter).

If you need a new or special footprint tank contact Sprinkler world or Shopper's supply (AJ or Chandler). both have an on hand selection or at least warehoused locally

This place was cheaper for me on a 1500 gallon tank if you can wait for a delivery 3 weeks out.

I ended up ordering a 300g Rubbermaid for $219 free shipping. Not shabby. May get a big drum tank for garage in future, I'll use that plasticmart. Thanks all.

Dotcommer you finished the big build already eh? Did you get some pukani rock?

Mostly Marco Rocks, but I have 3 pieces of Pukani. I like the look of pukani better, but didn't want to do the entire tank in it because of the Phosphate issues.

dotcommer added 0 TDS RO/DI to his tank along with sand and LR, so after it equilibrates with the Ca+, Mg+, Cl- , P04- etc it's no longer a 0 TDS solution
