water temp

My temp ranges from 84-86. Dont have a full blown reef, just a couple of anemones. The fish dont seem to mind the temp.

Wow that seems pretty high, how long have you kept it like that? I guess if everythings looking good it's all good then

2 Years. Its not the greatest for the corals but the fish and anemones dont mind.

To be honest I was quite surprised when reading Borneman's Coral book to find a great variance in the temperature between reefs. Some of them average as low as 74F and others (in the phillipines) average as high as 87F.

Myself, I have a chiller and keep my tank 77-79. I think it's possible that different reefkeepers end up keeping those coral and fish most suited to the temperature they maintain.
