Just got the result back from Aquarium water test.

I will dose more calcium and potassium. I ordered some cuprisorb for copper.

What to do with Molybdenum? How bad is 0.4?

Thanks for your comments

I wouldn't worry very much. AWT numbers often seem a little off. Unless you're dosing something with trace elements, I would chalk those numbers up to a slightly off batch of salt, testing problems, or something similar. If you're worried about the coper, you could run a PolyFilter. It'll turn blue if there's much in the water.

Unless you see a problem in the tank, I also wouldn't worry, especially about the silicate and molybdenum.

The polyfilter is a good idea since you can tell if it is binding copper. :)

I can match your high silica, moly, and copper in my AWT results they are always high. The potassium is always low as well. The potassium and copper I have tested with multiple kits that agree with each other but not with AWT. Polyfilter and Cuprisorb would not change color. So I don't trust them anymore.

Thank you guys. I lost a few shrimps. I suspected Strontium was the problem because I dose strontium Nitrate in natureef style reactor.

Sps is doing well, but the leather is not.

I will try poly filter to do visual check.

Thanks,
Peter

Randy,

It has the phosphagone option to remove phosphate. Phosphagone is Strontium Nitrate solution. I am dosing methanol to reduce nitrate. It is working well so far.

Thanks,
Peter

Seems like a strange product to me, but if it seems to work and strontium is not apparently too high, I wouldn't worry about it. :)
