Water to Media Reactors?

Is it better to drive water to media reactors off the return pump or off the drain. I have an oversized return pump so it'll work either way.

You won't really be able to feed them off the drain, but you can run them off the return. Though, for simplicity I usually keep the return and it's plumbing by itself and run reactors off separate, smaller pumps in the sump.

The drain would make it very difficult to control flow and might also affect water levels in the sump. Use a 1200 or other pump in the sump to drive media reactors. I have an oversized jaebo in my sump and I T off of that to drive my reactors, but I have tons of return flow.

I run mine off a manifold. Pulled all those small pumps out of the sump. I like it berrerp
