Hi all,
I just picked up a pair of percs from my LFS and are in qt as we speak. My qt tank is a 20g with a maxi-jet 1200 with a 6" foam filter around the intake. Is this ph too much for juvie's to sustain for a full schedule??? I am running approx 13x turnover. They are eating both spirulina/mysis/brine frozen as well as omega one flake just fine, but they do seem to be swimming pretty frequently to counter the flow.
I don't want to kill or tire them on account of flow, but I also don't know how to decrease it either... as an FYI, they've been in the qt tank for 5 days now., and acting as normal. There area few low flow areas in the tank, but not many truly "dead" areas for sleeping or resting.
