Waterloo Area April Meeting/Tank Tour

If all the waterloo people would pop a few more suggestion or ideas on whose tanks we are going to look at and which days work out best for the tour......I know that some people would like the meeting on the 22nd which works out good for me but we'll take a majority to keep everything fair and maybe adjust the times to accomodate people that have to work on saturdays so we can keep up the good numbers at these meetings. I know that Al aka duke13 will probably want to slap me for this but i think if its possible we should see his tanks, they are a good example of what happens when you really work to keep a regular schedule of tank maintenance and i need a good excuse to drop some corals off to him. Everyone just post what you think for times and days and we'll work on getting something together......i might even see if emporium would donate something small for door prizes or something......thanks Jason

Whenever is good for me. Ill work around everyone elses schedules....we can check out my tank and my moms tanks in one shot.

I can do a sat afternoon (3 or later) or anytime on Sunday. If that dont work out I can catch up to everyone when I can. Dates are fairly open other then Easter (16th).

Same reply from me again... I only work every 5th weekend and YUP THAT"S MY WEEKEND TO WORK. Will meeting always be every 5th weekend ?

Any weekend besides easter will be fine for me. I've been working a little on the weekends so the sooner I know the better I can take the day off. Like Craig after 3 is always better and Saturdays work better than Sundays.

My tank is open for onlookers. Seeing as I'm probably the furthest away if we wanted to end here I'd gladly grill up some burgers/brats (if the weather cooperates) or order pizza or something.

Door prizes are SWEET!

I can do that too. Make sure everyone takes pics of my tank so during next years tour we can look back & laugh at how pathetic it used to be.

I would prefer the 22nd over the 8th but if thats the only day we can do it that's fine. I can move my schedule around.

Hmmm only 5 tanks. It's going to be a short day! Come on you wloo people I know theres more than 5 of us on here!

So it seems that we are shooting for the 8th around 3 or so .....is there anyway we can get an order of the tanks we are going to tour so we can get some kind of directions worked out....thanks Jason

I vote for the 22nd. I'm going to MO on the 8th for G'ma's 100th birthday. I will leave work early on the 22nd and go back that nite to finish. That date seems to be better for got2lb. We need to get a hold of Duke13 as his tanks are well worth seeing.

An order shouldn't be too difficult.

Lori and Jeremy live within a couple blocks of each other. Duke13 doesn't live too far from them. It's just you and me that live out in the boonies Jason!

The order I would do it in would be to start off at Jasons, then Duke13, Waverz, LoriM, Leeweber? (Not sure if he want's in but he's not to far out of the way), Vincejo and the UNI tank (again he mentioned it before but will have to wait and see), xroads, got2lb.

That's about as straight a line as you can get. Or we could just reverse the order.

Sounds good,,,,,I like being towards the end. Then I can drop all the goodies I picked up from everyone else's tank. We going to cook out to weather permitting?

Ive got a ton of hamburger and my brother is opening a store that has slightly damaged goods for under half price so i'm sure i can get some baked beans and such from him so i'm sure we could put something together .....most of you guys have seen my tank so we can include it if you want but its having a crappy moment right now (needs a deltec skimmer and a cleaning crew cause the trigger ate my last cleaning crew) but i'll gladly show it to you if you wanna burn the gas

Like I said before, I don't have a problem grilling out at my place. I guess it's up to you if you want to show off your tank or not. Doesn't make a difference to me either way.

Ive seen Jasons tank too, wouldnt hurt to save some gas i guess......i just need a dd.
