Wattage consumption questions.

I am attempting the calculate total cost of my tank per month and some of the pumps running on my tank have no specs for wattage. I am looking for some specs on the following items.

Only in wattage please. Thank you.

--Powerhead Penguin 1140 (.93 amps)
--Prizm Pro Skimmer (handles 300 gal.)
--Magnum 350 (hang-on canister filter)


If anyone can give me the wattage's on these, it would be appreciated.

Watts = voltage x Current

Each item should at least have it's current draw. Multiplying that by the voltage will give a approximate figure on wattage.

Yes electrical current is measured in amperes.

So if my power head says .93 amps it is running at 111.60 watts? Holy crap. That's pretty high for a power head

are you sure its listed in amps or milli amps, (a vs ma)

I looked at it again with a magnufying glass and there is a scratch across it. It isn't .93, it's .13
My mistake LOL. The scratch makes it look like a 9, not a 1.

I did look on the pump of the skimmer and there is nothing. Not even in the book. I think I'll have to call the company tomorrow and find out what it's rated at.
