I'm tossing with the idea of running 1 or 2 wave boxes supplemented by 2 x 6100 or get 4 x 6100 w/ 7095.

Tank is an 172g Oceanic bowfront w/ Oceaning canopy. 72 x 18 x 29" tall.

I have 1/2 - 3/4 clearnace for the waves.
Any problem with water pilling over?

Thanks
Doug

If that is all the clearance you have in the tank. I would highly suggest 4x6100 tunze's and multicontroller. 1 wavebox in a six foots tank will make 1"+ or - wave lenght. If your clearance is only 1/2 or 3/4 that is a waste of money if you go with wavebox

My 4 x 6100 are doing very good, I am thinking of adding 2 more 6000 or 6100

I am still playing with it, my corals are very happy. I missed the wavebox action but I'll make sure to get another for my next tank.

I would start with 2 6100's and add from there. It really depends on what you are keeping and rock layout and 2 may be sufficient. 1 wavebox would be enough but as Steve said, the wave would be 1-1.5"
