Wave box and extention question

I just bought a wave box and extention a month ago for my 300. I bought the extention just incase. Adding the extention really dosn't seem to add any thing to the tank, so this leads me to my quatestion.

Can I buy a just a controller to control the extention in a differant tank?

I have just installed a wavebox + extension in my tank (about 400 USG) over the weekend. Running it with the extension gives me approximately twice the wave height that one box on its own does. It is difficult to see how adding a second wavebox could have no effect if it was operating correctly.

Another controller would turn your extension into a full wavebox.

I think part of my problem is the the ttank is euro braced. Have you seen were you can buy a just a wave controler?

You can buy just the controller but I have to agree with Steve, you likely do not have the correct timing set and you will likely find with the correct timing even with one wavebox the wave will be much bigger. The controller is part 6091, I have plenty in stock. You could order it on tunze.com.

My tank is euro braced also. I use the magnets to mount the waveboxes.

I have also found I get a slightly larger wave with both boxes at the same end and that turning off other circulation in the tank (2 x 6100 + 1 Eheim) increases the wave height by about 15%

Shouldn't the top of the wavebox be out of the water? Isn't that the mark on the side were the water line shuld be? Ill take pictures and a short video today

Yes, that is correct but until you get the timing right on the controller you really don't get a wave.

Does the 6091 come with the photo cell? I just ordered the 7091 from Marine Depot by mistake.

The wavebox comes with a photocell but as spare parts everything is seperate, the photcell is 7094.05.

Roger If I just ordered a 6091 from Tunze Direct it wont come with a cell? I did order a 7091 and a cell from MD. If the 6091 dosn't come with it I wont return the one to MD.

I just got the 7091 in the mail got it all setup and thats when I realized it was the wrong part. How long does it take to receive a order from tunze when ordered from the website?

It doesn't come with te photocell. I did get your order, I have the 6091 in stock and I will ship it tomorrow

No, it is only for spare parts, more will be coming in soon, early next week we get 6045's I would suggest placing an order with one of our dealers.
