Wave box question

I've just added the extension on my new 8' tank after using just the main unit on my old 6' tank. Now that I have them both set up...both pumps run concurrently rather than one on/one off. I'm sure it's a setting I'm missing.
I'm getting a double wave though, which is kinda cool.

If the tank is more than 36" wide it would be best to keep both on the same side and have them on synchronous. If it is less than 36" wide place on eon each side and you have to open the controller and set the jumper to inverse.

Thanks for the advice.
I have one on each end of the tank set to the factory synchronous setting and am getting a double wave. I'm not unhappy with this and am wondering if there is any advantage to keeping it as is.

The wave is definitely shorter this way, but there is no real disadvantage, it won't damage the waveboxes.
