Wave box with pemminsula style tank?

I have a 150 gal (72"x18" footprint) that has a horizontal overflow on one end.

Would it be possible to use a wave box with this type of setup? If so, where should it be positioned in the tank?

It needs to go on one of the ends, the wave will be shorter due to the overflow box position and there will be a wave surge into the overflow that will make it noisy.
