Wave Maker Alarm? Help

My wave maker alarm went off. I took it all apart and cleaned it. It ran for about 1/2 hour after cleaning and the alarm started again. I then checked this site and saw the post regarding cleaning. I have the older one piece unit. Did not remove the lower 'bearing' and small o-ring. When I was cleaning every thing looked good so I choice not to tear it apart further.

So should I take it apart again and clean further? (i don't think it'll help) Anything else I should look at?
Thanks
Dave

I would, as it only takes a minute but eliminates the question of is it the cause. Water has to move thru back there to keep the pump cool. And with it running for a while I am thinking overheating as a possiblity
