Wave using a wavebox

So finally I got the wavebox. Im getting a 1 1/2" wave, is that a good wave? My tank is a 100g 5ft long. Also does the wavebox reduce the life of acrylic tanks as it does for glass tanks?

Ganjero, 1.5" wave is good but you can always do more with long and narrow tank without any rock on the way. As far as the integrity of the tank, it is depend on how it build, the thickness of your acrylic etc. I have run wave box in a very OLD tank glass tank for couple years without any issue.

It does shorten tank life but usually a tank would be replaced due to scratches and other problems long before a wavebox would kill it. This is covered in the manual with a more technical discussion of proper tank design for the wavebox.
