Wavebox 6212 needs new pump

So, considering the new 6215 Wavebox uses the Stream 2 and is modified to accommodate the new pump, what do I do if the pump fails on my 6212? Are the modifications simple enough to do myself so I can fit a Stream 2 into the 6212 housing?

Unless I am mistaken there is no mods needs to the box or pump. The pump in the nanowavebox is a modified pump but the full size wavebox is not. I believe I swapped one out at the shop and nothing was needed past a different sponge to hold it in place.

Hi Shawn, I am a bit confused by your reference to the Nano Wavebox (6206). The 6212 is the older big wavebox, where the 6215 is the new big wavebox. 6212 uses the Stream 1 pump, where the 6215 uses the Stream 2 pump. My understanding is that the box of the 6215 had to be modified from the 6212 design to accommodate the different shape/size of the Stream 2 pump. So I am wondering if there is a way I can get the Stream 2 pump into the 6212 box.

pump from the 6215 will fit in the 6212 body no problems. A couple of years ago i picked up a used 6215 and the pump ended up being bad. Replace it with a 6215 pump with no ill effects. Like stated before, there are not any modifications that need to be made to the wavebox housing to use the later pump, just change the foam that surrounds the pump an you are golden.

Part 6260.015 on the Tunze site is a full upgrade kit, 6215 pump, power supply, foam pan and orings.

Yes, part 6260.015, it is a complete upgrade kit to 6215 pump as the 6260 is no longer made.
