Wavebox controller stopped working?

Hi Roger,
My wavebox controller seems to have stopped working...maybe.
It still lights up and the pump still pulses, however, I noticed that my wave had stopped.
So I started tuning it again from scratch but I can't get a wave again.
Any ideas?

Hello Sean, if your pump still pulse, do you notice the pump loosing it strength or is it still normal? Is it time for clean up? If the pump still running, the light on the controller still on. There should not be any problem with your wavebox unless that is user error which i believe is the case. Call your friend Steve and he will help you solve the problem.

Hi Sean,

My guess is the foodtimer button is stuck or shorted out. Is the pump on LED next to the foodtimer button on?

Another possibility is 1 of the 3 wires from the cable to the board is loose. The slave cable would work if this was the culprit.

The pump on LED is on.
I ensured all wires were tight and tried it again on both master and slave...still no wave.

Even weirder, the further clockwise I get on the dial the longer the pulses are too. So it IS adjusting the pulse.

Ah, I think I misunderstood, so everything works but you don't have a wave. The controller and pump work- just no wave?

Did you move any rocks or the wavebox?

I removed most of my rock to clean it up in anticipation of the new tank coming.

After I did I retuned the WB.

Could you have a leak around the pump outlet and the tank? This would not allow the wavebox to "empty" when the pumps are on. The water in the wavebox needs to act like a seperate container, otherwise it is just like a stream in the tank.

When it worked did you have the rock in the tank? Can you kind of walk me through or pinpoint what changed when the wave stopped?

It worked great with the rock in the tank.
I removed 85% of the rock to "cook" it before my 300 gallon cube arrives.
A few days after the rock was removed I noticed the wave was gone.

That is when I tried retuning it to no avail.

Did you disassemble the wavebox? Does the pump seem to be as strong as it was in the past?
