wavebox(es) on a 450

I have a 450g office tank (96 x 36 x 30) with a single wavebox, and I get a very nice wave throughout the tank. I am planning another 450g, but the dimensions are 72 x 48 x 30. Will a single wavebox work in this tank or will I need two?

Dudester, i have try one wavebox in my 4x4 cube. Only half of the tank has wave.... But if you are as sick as me :D, you can do 4 waveboxes in that tank, for sure you will have the real wave :D

Was looking into purchasing a wave box, just wanted to know so pro/cons compared to a tunze 6055 with controller. I currently own a 6055 nano with controller and it making a loud humming noise from the motor. I did clean it out and has no calcium deposits in it. Its about 6 months old. Tank size is 48x24x24 120gallon sps.
Thanks

Ksed, you can't compare the wavebox to Tunze nano 6055 cuz each served different purpose. Tunze wavebox mainly create wave motion but no directional flow. Wavebox help keep detritus in the water column longer while the Stream help push them into your overflow box or dead spot if you have any :D.

I have not own the nano 6055 but i do have the Tunze nano 6025 which i use to mix the salt with :D. Its rattle a little during the starting period but quiet down after a few sec. You need to send it in so Roger can take a look at it.

On the side note, you may gain 1" of wave but you will lost 5" of space. Something to consider.

Thanks
Steve

Thanks Jar*Head, I figured as much. I seriously considered 4 waveboxes for this new tank, but I just don't want that many devices visible. I also thought of having the tank built with external compartments for the tunze pump (external waveboxes, I'm sure you're familiar with them) but this will be a 15-year tank and if something new (better) becomes available, I'd have these silly, useless square outpouchings from my tank.

ksed - As far as I know, the nano stream with controller won't make an actual wave, although the flow can be modified with the controller. The wavebox pump turns on and off rhythmically to create an actual wave in the tank. The flow dynamics of the two are completely different. Hope that helps.
