Thanks Jar*Head, I figured as much. I seriously considered 4 waveboxes for this new tank, but I just don't want that many devices visible. I also thought of having the tank built with external compartments for the tunze pump (external waveboxes, I'm sure you're familiar with them) but this will be a 15-year tank and if something new (better) becomes available, I'd have these silly, useless square outpouchings from my tank.
ksed - As far as I know, the nano stream with controller won't make an actual wave, although the flow can be modified with the controller. The wavebox pump turns on and off rhythmically to create an actual wave in the tank. The flow dynamics of the two are completely different. Hope that helps.
