wavebox in 8 footer

I have a wavebox in my 8 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot tank.

To be honest, it doesn't casue much movement in a tank that size and I would like more.

I hear that there is a way round this. Another box of some kind? Can you tell me what I can do to make it cause better movement please? Rough cost would be good too ( I'm in the UK but I expect price will be similar?)

I put a wave box then added the extention to my 96x30x24. It did make a noticable differance. The extention is just another wavebox without the controller. I've read that you can also get a little bigger wave placing one wavebox on each end and running it opposite each other. when one flows the othe ris off and it helps boost the wave from each end.Mine are on the same end, higher flow stuff on one end lower flow on the other.HTH.

You really should not need an extension on that size tank. A wave of 2" should be possible without one. I would double check your installation.

They do tend to dampen the wave height but 1+" should still be possible. A few things to check, make sure the screws are in the holes in the back, even if you are not using the rails. Make sure the sponge is not covering the pump intake, it is a noise dampner and not a filter. Make sure the screen surface is pointed up. Try adjusting the timing.
